Michele Fitzpatrick is a former staff writer and columnist for the Chicago Tribune. She also has served as executive editor in educational research and STEM product development.

Her blog, Mrs. Fitz’s Story Emporium, is a lighthearted look at living in Chicago, IL, working as a writer, and growing up during the lively 1960s. Her first novel, The Women’s Center, celebrates friendship among women across miles and generations. Her second novel, Snag the Moon, is an offbeat contemporary romance about two middle-aged misfits, drawn together to rescue nursing home residents.

A graduate of Mundelein College and University of Iowa School of Journalism, she and her husband Richard live in Chicago, with frequent treks to Boston, MA, to play dinosaur games with three grandsons, who always win.

A certified teacher, she conducts interactive seminars on media ethics, women in the arts, and narrative journalism. To inquire, visit michelefitz.com.
